I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli

Atmospheric Black Metal from the heart of Siberia. Grima is a band that paints one hell of a picture with their music. Intense shrieking vocals echo behind such awesome instrumentals.
Leaves you feeling the bitter cold winds of a desolate snowscape. Abyssius Murkraken
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024

One man, Zannibal, Finnish project. This is a side project of his Marrasmieli one. Being a big fan of Marrasmieli, I have no excuse for having missed this but I am here now. There are some truly fantastic moments here *and* it is a debut! From a hugely talented musician but nevertheless... :) I love anything this guy does! I very much look forward to a full length album from this project! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
